About Me
I originally come from a catering background. I had a work
colleague Vicky, who trained me as a manager for a well-known
coffee chain. I remember her saying “I think you would make a
really good counsellor because you look at things from a rounded
perspective.” So I decided to complete an introductory counselling
course and so began my journey to becoming a qualified counsellor.
My Qualifications
I completed my training at Lewisham College and I achieved a
Higher National Diploma in Counselling passing with a distinction.
I am on the register and a member of the BACP (British Association
in Counselling & Psychotherapy) I am accredited. I adhere to The
BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling.
I graduated from South Bank University with a Certificate &
Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector. I upgraded my
qualification to Qualified Teacher in Learning and Skills with The
Society for Education and Training (Formerly known as the
Institute for Teaching)
Professional Experience
I have worked in educational counselling organisations in SE
London for 11 years.
I have over 10 years’ experience working in educational settings,
voluntary sector, charitable organisations and I have successfully
managed several projects.
I completed my supervision training at CPPD Counselling College achieving a Diploma in Clinical Supervision.
